Fullmetal has been a fan favourite for a while now and with its release onto Netflix even more people are watching this incredible story, so much so it seems that It has caught the eye of the 'corporate big wigs'. The Elric brothers are now preparing to create and bring to life their adaptation of the series via a Live Action film, set for a 2017 release.

The Japanese film will adapt and work on the beloved manga, directly following Alphonse and Edward, two boys that are on a quest too find the philosopher's stone which they need to restore their mortal bodies, torn apart during an attempt to use the power of alchemy to bring their dead mother back to life.

Fumihiko Sori will direct, and Hey! Say! JUMP member Ryosuke Yamada will play Edward Elric. CGI will be used to recreate Alphonse’s armour, and to emulate the fantastic effects of alchemy.

Filming on the Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie will take place in Italy from June through August 2016.

So, what do you think of the news? A blockbuster or another flop like the Attack on Titan live action?
