Last week, I wrote an article about William H. Macy's upcoming indie film Krystal, which stars the likes of Felicity Huffman, Oscar-winning Kathy Bates and Nick Robinson (Jurassic World). Well, today is a very good day, because joining that dream team will be none other than The Flash himself, the one and only Grant Gustin.

The news broke earlier on Deadline, which reported that Gustin will star opposite Rosario Dawson, who is set to play the titular character. It's interesting to note that Gustin plays The Flash while Dawson is one of the main leads in rival superhero series Daredevil.

The movie was written by Will Aldis and will be directed by Macy, with filming scheduled to begin next month in Atlanta.

According to Deadline, Krystal is "about a young man who has a heart condition which preludes him from going to college or playing sports or falling in love. Into his life comes Krystal. An ex-heroin addict, alcoholic, hooker, you name it. She's on the run and she's got a son and it becomes this unlikely love affair which of course never works out."

I am particularly excited about this because I think very highly of both Gustin and Robinson. They are two of my favorite young actors right now and both of them consistently deliver believable and authentic performances (you can read my thoughts on Gustin here and my thoughts on Robinson here). I can't wait to see both of them on screen together.

I have always had a high opinion of Gustin since he appeared on Glee back in 2011 and he has proven time and again just how talented he is. His performance on The Flash has redefined what it means to be a superhero and continues to win over new legions of fans! This is the perfect platform for Gustin, and I for one can't wait for him to show a whole new audience the extent of that talent.

Believe me when I say: Congratulations, Grant!

I was looking forward to 'Krystal.' Now I am very excited!
