Winn has the DEO run tests on Siobhan after she survives falling from a multi story building, believing her to be an alien. Dr.Hamilton tells them that she is indeed a human, but is baffled at the circumstances. She shows up at Catco and uses her scream to launch Kara through the window. The Flash comes out of a breach and saves her, bringing them to an open field. Dazed and confused, she asks who he is and starts to head back to Catco. She sees him speeding after to her, so they stop to introduce themselves to one another. Barry reveals his identity to her and asks for help to get back to his earth. He meets the rest of the Team Supergirl with Jimmy immediately being jealous of his instant friendship with Winn and Kara. Cat has them look into the new hero who had saved Kara from falling to her death and names him the blur. Siobhan discovers that the women in her family are cursed with the spirit of a banshee, which can only be quieted by killing whoever wronged them. Deciding to kill Kara, Siobhan frees Livewire from captivity at the DEO and suggests they team up. Kara then introduces Barry to Lucy so that he can help them track down the two. Kara asks Barry to help her protect Cat in exchange for helping him get back home. Barry and Kara confront Siobhan and Livewire at an abandoned warehouse. Siobhan and Liverwire prove to be to much so they are forced to retreat. Barry finds Kara and sees that she feels defeated so he tells her about his various misadventures and how he ultimately overcame them. He builds them sound blocking tech similar to what Cisco made to protect them from Siobhan's screams. Despite Winn's efforts to stop her from doing something she will regret, Siobhan who now calls herself Silver Banshee and Livewire kidnap Cat and wreak havoc in National City Park. Barry and Kara show up to stop them. Barry takes on Livewire, but is ultimately incapacitated by her. Kara sacrifices herself to save people in a helicopter Liverwire shoots at and is seen by the whole city doing so. After seeing that she would put her life on the line for them, the people of the city shield her from Livewire and Silver Banshee. Before they can attack, Firefighters douse Liverwire with water, electrocuting both her and Siobhan. Thanks to Barry, the NCPD is able to detain them as well as other metahumans. He and Kara embrace and say their goodbyes to each, before he makes his trip back home. Combining their speed, they open a breach and she tosses Barry into it. After taking Barry's advice, Kara finally tells Jimmy how she really feels and the two share a kiss. He then walks out of her apartment without saying a word and joins a group of people out in the streets who seem to be under someone's control. Non reveals himself to be moving forward with the Myriad.
Watching Barry and Kara take on the baddies together was a bonus. Seeing them having fun and running around together would have been good enough for us, but we got a treat with this episode.
Barry Allen:Our favorite speedster not only crossed over to another TV station but also into the world of Kara Danvers. He didn't exactly try to hide the fact that he was a superhero himself and was able to show off his brain a lot more this time around.
Silver Banshee: After finding out that her family is cursed with the spirit of the Banshee, she took no time to embrace the villain role. After embracing her new found powers, she proved to be a formidable foe for both Barry and Kara, drawing blood from the Kryptonian and trading blows with her.
Livewire: We missed Leslie. Her presence gives the show something different, something rebellious and she is a total badass. She could have taken out Supergirl and The Flash all on her own, but joined Siobhan after she broke her out of the DEO.
Team Supergirl- With her reputation tarnished, Kara has now gone from her saving the city to putting together families IKEA furniture. With J'onn and Alex off finding Jeremiah, she is alone in fight against evil in National City. Luckily for her Barry Allen shows up to not only help her fight the bad guys, but to lift her spirits up and get her out of her rut.
Team Supergirl and Cat- This scene was super funny. She is literally the only one who wasn't fooled about Barry's identity and told the team that she knew he was the Flash. In walks Barry Allen and then all of a sudden the Flash shows up.
Kara and Barry- Greatest DC TV team up ever. All it took was one episode for them to forge the greatest superhero friendship. Barry did make a hell of a first impression though by saving her from that fall, then grabbing her and the team some ice cream to showcase his powers. Their chemistry was amazing, as if they had known each other for a long time. This episode could have been them just running around or just taking about life and we would have been okay with it. What we got was them kicking ass, getting their asses kicked and just having fun being superheroes together. This won't be the last we see of #Bara. We just know it.
Kara and Winn- Winn had Kara use her connections to get the DEO to check on Siobhan. She was feeling pretty down on herself after everything that happened the last few episodes, but Winn knew just what to tell her. That it wasn't her fault.
Kara and Jimmy- They finally kissed. It only took them 18 episodes, many heartbreaks and near death experiences for them to get here. Only for Jimmy to not say anything and walk out of her apartment emotionless. One of the greatest moments in his life and he wasn't even mentally present. Things don't look too good for them right now.
Kara and Cat- Cat tried playing match maker for Kara, giving her pointers on how to get closer to Jimmy. And again Kara had to save Cat from being killed from two disgruntled ex-employees. It great to see Cat tell Kara that she believed in Supergirl when everyone else didn't.
Kara and Siobhan- It went from an office rivalry to an almost (but not really) homicide. She hates both Kara and Supergirl and you would think she would now realize the two are one in the same, but no. Kara still came out on top both as Kara Danvers and Supergirl, with some help of course.
Barry and Winn- Winn is the Supergirl equivalent of Cisco, so you know that they would get along right off the bat. Winn's got to be the sharpest brain on the show so it's no surprise the two would be geeking out with each other. Winn was screaming inside talking about the theory of the multiverse and talking science/tech with Barry. Every scene with them was hilarious and awesome. Just about as awesome as Supergirl and the Flash.
Barry and Jimmy- Jimmy's jealousy towards Kara and Barry's instant friendship was hilarious. In his defense, we would feel pretty threaten if the girl of our dreams was being hit on by the Flash. They didn't really get to have any broments like Winn did, but there's always a next time.
Winn and Siobhan- Well I guess this relationship has run it's course. She didn't want to hurt him and he was probably the only person she's really shown any sort of love for. He tried to get through to her, but the hate was too strong in her. He deserves better anyways.
Jimmy and Lucy- Lucy saw that Jimmy was getting jealous of Barry when he came down to the DEO to help out. She finally let him go after realizing that she was the one who kind of forced the relationship again. At least the two finally got the closure that they needed to move on with their lives.
Siobhan and Leslie- They were a pretty awesome duo. They were super overpowered as well, being able to take down Barry and Kara. This is just the beginning for these two and we hope to see them again.
Siobhan, Leslie and Cat- It amazes us how Cat Grant could still talk so much junk at two superpowered baddies. It was only until Livewire threatened to kill her when she asked to be spared for the sake of her sons.
Jimmy and Winn- Winn also saw that Barry's appearance was affecting Jimmy a lot more than he was letting on. He was finally able to tease and make fun of Jimmy for it. It was hilarious.
Dr.Hamilton- We didn't get her first name, but in the DC comics Dr. Emil Hamilton was known to be an ally of Superman. Outfitting him with various power suits and tech to help on his adventures. It is a woman is this iteration of the character and she works for the DEO.
CW- Looking at Kara, Barry, Jimmy and Winn, Cat pointed out that they all looked like a good looking yet non threatening cast of a CW Show. How meta can you get.
The Woosh,Red Streak,Blur,Speedy- While trying to name the new superhero in town, she threw a few of them around. She was close with the Red Streak. The Blur was most likely a shout out to what they called Clark on Smallville and Speedy is the superhero moniker of Thea Queen. If Cisco heard her say Woosh he would have been rolling his eyes.
Bernie Sanders- So who else is team Bernie?
Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Beyonce- Something's just never change whatever world Barry ends up on.
What's to Come/Theories:
People may think that this episode was a one and done thing, but we don't think that is so. Barry may have said that he ended up on Kara's world by accident, but we see that as half true. There is a reason he was drawn there, but it's a little complicated to explain. He has the means to go to any earth he chooses, so down the line he could very well show up again, once he is able to control the ability better. He is the bridge of the Multiverse and that's what makes it so exciting. Now WHEN Supergirl gets a second season, we for sure better see another crossover and of course we'd love to see characters from Arrow and Legends tag along. With that being said, Non moves forward with the Myriad which involves the people of the city being under some kind of mind control. The timing of Barry going home, leaves Kara to deal with the trouble all on her own especially since J'onn and Alex are gone. We've only got two episode left and hopefully it ends with a bang!
What makes the episode even more amazing than it was is the fact that this all came to fruition just over a month and a half ago. Big ups to Grant Gustin for managing to make any show he appears on even more awesome than it already is.The whole way through we were smiling from ear to ear and that is all we could have asked for when we heard that this crossover was going to happen. This episode gets a perfect 10 Streaky the Cats out of 10. What did you think about 'World's Finest' with Supergirl and the Flash teaming up? Do you want to see more? We know we definitely do. Leave it in the comments below, we'd love to read them!
