I remember coming home from school and flipping through channels until I came across the one show that would be my go-to show during middle school. The show, of course, was That '70s Show, which I was hooked on until its finale 10 years ago! I started to wonder just recently what the whole cast was up to and what do you know, there was a reunion this Monday! It's not exactly a real reunion as many cast members were missing, but it counts for something, right?
The cast members: Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama, and Danny Masterson reunited on Monday for a screening of Kutcher and Masterson’s new Netflix series, The Ranch. You can see from the picture above that Fez, Kelso, Jackie, and Hyde are just as close as they were 10 years ago. This got me thinking, what about the other cast members, and what have they been up to?Not signed in
So, let's go down memory lane and see what our favorite '70s classmates have been up to since the finale. I'm mainly going to be talking about the main cast for the majority of the show. Let's get to it then!
1. Eric Forman - Topher GraceNot signed in
Eric Forman was perhaps the protagonist of the show, that is, until he was absent for the whole final season. He did make a brief appearance in the season finale of the show so that counts right?
Topher Grace who played Eric, later on went to appear in many films, both big and small. One of the more infamous roles was his turn as Eddie Brock a.k.a. Venom in Spider-Man 3, but it's okay Topher, we can forget that one. His most recent work is with Christopher Nolan on Interstellar, and he is set to appear alongside Brad Pitt in the comedy War Machine.
2. Jackie Burkhar - Mila KunisNot signed in
Jackie became one of the most popular characters on the show as the seasons went by and it's no surprise because she was hilarious. The scenes she had with Kelso were priceless, and the romantic drama between her, Kelso, and Hyde was classic to the show.
Mila Kunis, who portrayed the character, has appeared in critically acclaimed movies like Black Swan but has had some blunders, like Jupiter Ascending. The actress is also the voice of Meg Griffin on Family Guy since 1999, and that's pretty impressive! Mila is now married to That '70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher and the two have since had a daughter.
3. Michael Kelso - Ashton KutcherNot signed in
I'm pretty sure we all have our favorite Kelso moments because the guy was incredibly funny. Kelso was that character that you just couldn't hate and had a sort of charm to him.
Ashton Kutcher who portrayed Kelso has gone on to star in many films and TV shows. He most notably replaced Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men and has a new show on Netflix alongside That '70s Show co-star Danny Masterson titled The Ranch. The actor is married and has a daughter with former co-star Mila Kunis as I mentioned before.
4. Donna Pinciotti - Laura PreponNot signed in
Donna and Eric's relationship was pretty much what many tuned in to see once they locked it down. We were there through their tears and laughs, and along the way, in a sense, learned so much from them. The two ultimately parted once Season 8 came, but they had left an impact to the show and on many of us.
Laura Prepon, who portrayed the character, has appeared in many movies and shows alike. She most notably is a regular on the hit show Orange Is The New Black, where she portrays Alex Vause. Laura is also set to appear in the psychological thriller The Girl On The Train later this year.
5. Steven Hyde - Danny MastersonNot signed in
Hyde was probably the character you all thought was the coolest out of everyone, and I will agree with that. He was the guy who just didn't care and sort of played the voice of reason for the group at times. Hyde was also Eric's best friend and was even his brother for a time. Danny Masterson, after playing Hyde, went on to have many roles in both TV and film. He was the main protagonist for the TV show Men At Work and will also star alongside Ashton Kutcher in the Netflix original, The Ranch.
6. Fez - Wilmer ValderramaNot signed in
Fez, alongside Kelso, were the comedic relief for the show and actually had many memorable scenes with Hyde as well. We may never know where Fez is from or how to pronounce his name but that's okay. The character was played by Wilmer Valderrama, who also had a run as the host of the short lived show, Yo Momma. Wilmer went on to appear in various films and TV shows and will be playing Prince Charming in the upcoming movie, Charming, later this year. Not signed in
The cast have all gone far beyond their roles in That '70s Show and found new success which is awesome! We can all hope to one day see a reunion episode of sorts and it might happen, as the cast have reunited many times in the past. The only thing we can do is cross our fingers and, in the mean time, re-watch the moments we loved.
