More details pertaining to the hotly anticipated Pokémon GO game have been leaked online.
Pokémon GO has entered into its final testing phase over in Japan and it would seem that keeping the lid on this real world Pokémon adventure is proving harder than expected for the team over at Niantic.
This flood of new Pokémon GO game detail includes various clips of Pokémon GO gameplay, the number of Pokémon available, special items available and even touches on microtransactions, level caps and many other details.
The new details
First off, the game will feature all of the original 151 Pokémon. Pokémon Natures feature in the game - so far, we have confirmation of Assassin, Stoic, Raider, Guardian, Protector, Champion and Sentry. Their roles are still unknown.
Pokémon can evolve through Evolution Stones. To evolve this way the Pokémon will have to battle a wild Pokémon. If the player wins they will receive an Evolution Shard. Once the player has a certain amount of Shards, a Stone will become available.
As you would expect, each Pokémon has an individual Capture Point rating. The higher the Pokémon’s CP value, the harder it is to catch.
The teams that players can choose from are blue, red, and yellow. Pokémon Gyms will have varying levels of “prestige.” At Level 50, trainers will be able to store 500 Pokémon and 1000 items. Whether this is the official level cap is still unknown.
Player progression will be measured in three tiers – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Out of 232 moves, 95 are quick moves. Interestingly, these moves are not included in Pokemon Red / Blue / Yellow / Green.
A Pokémon bracelet will launch with the game that will work alongside your phone to detect any nearby Pokémon.
Another source has confirmed that there will be a total of seven object categories; these include, Poké Ball, Revive, Maps, Potion, Battle Objects, Camera and Food. X Miracle is mentioned but the purpose of this is still unknown.
As mentioned earlier, microtransactions will be available. So far we can see that trainers will be able to access Medicine packs, food bundles and gem packs.
Pokemon GO is a real world based game but does not stop at just the environment – the game features a day and night cycle that changes the style of gameplay depending on what time you play.
The biggest detail to be leaked probably comes in the form of actual gameplay footage – check out this video of a Pokémon being caught in Pokémon GO.
To ensure we do not step on too many toes over at Niantic we have not published any of the new leaked images here on our site. For even more Pokémon Go details including new leaked screenshots head over to Silph Road on Reddit.
