Now when it comes to superheroics, the big two of Marvel and DC have long held something of an unofficial duopoly on cinematic adaptations. While other comic book companies have made it to the screen — with some even having a handful of hits and more than a few cult followers — of course the vast majority of cinematic superhero box office success has headed in the direction of the biggest hitters in town.

That might not be set to change any time soon, seeing as the next five years look full to bursting with Marvel and DC comic-book-inspired movies, but that doesn't mean there isn't a whole lot of intriguing content coming from more independent sources. The latest reveal?

'Electra Woman And Dyna Girl' Is Heading Back To Our Screens

Which, if you just so happen to remember the short-lived live-action series back in the late 1970s (as part of Sid and Marty Krofft’s The Krofft Supershow), is just about as good a piece of goofy superhero news you'll get this week.

If you haven't seen the original, never fear — it's very much not going to be a prerequisite for viewing the new, direct-to-video reboot, featuring famed YouTubers Grace Helbig (DailyGrace) and Hannah Hart (My Drunk Kitchen).

Instead, it seems that all you'll need in order to watch is an appreciation for madcap Mystery Men-style superhero comedy, and a willingness to track the film down digitally on June 7, or on DVD come July 5.

What do you reckon, though?
