You ever wonder why there are so many Star Wars Spin-off movies coming out in between the Star Wars Saga?
Well I have a theory as to why, that might just blow your mind! But before I delve into details regarding that, I would like to talk about a franchise that was almost ruined, but was saved because of one little thing.
If you all remember X-Men: The Last Stand and how it wasn't THE best X-Men movie in the franchise? What was the one thing that fixed it? Time travel! With the plot of Days of Future Past, we were able to better appreciate The Last Stand by going back in time and forgetting it even happened!
Let's be honest, the majority of us Fan Boys weren't really happy with the Star Wars prequels. In fact, some of us would want to have a chance to go back in time and kill Jar Jar and give Darth Maul more screen time.
The reason I bring up time travel is because this could be the very reason that we are getting all these spin-offs. I mean J.J. Abrams directed LOST and the new Star Trek films and both had time travel in it. Not only that, but the director for Star Wars VIII is Rian Johnson, who directed Looper, and what is Looper about? Time travel! Are you seeing a pattern here? It was said that they are going to do something with Star Wars that hasn't been done before. Time travel hasn't been done before, why not?
Which would explain that most of the spin-offs or stand alone movies are taking place in the past. I would like to explain how time travel will work with these movies.
Star Wars VIII and Han Solo Movie- Snoke Theories
There are a lot of fan theories about who Snoke really is, but there is one that I like the most out of all these theories that would back up my time travel theory.
The theory is that Darth Plagueis is actually a host-like being that feeds off of the Force like a parasite. His name does resemble the word "plague".
This theory says that Snoke was really Palpatine all along and that the burnt scars were from the force lightening that he got tangled in while Darth Vader tossed him in the depths of the Death Star.
The only problem with this theory is that Palpatine was already exposed to the lightening by trying to defend himself against Mace Windu...
A very interesting theory, but the only thing that's missing is... well... Darth Vader's limbs. I mean did they grow back?
I'm sure everyone would love for this theory to come true! This theory is actually plausible. The scars would indicate that Snoke AKA Fett survived the Sarlacc and he is seeking revenge by having Ben kill Han for nearly killing him and getting away.
Future Kylo Ren
Now this theory says that Snoke is the future Kylo Ren, and that the scar given to him by Rey is just one of many that will lead to his complete disfigurement. Though this theory is a bit of a stretch, I would like to explain how this theory can possibly be true.
Now with Star Wars it's all about twists. Darth Vader being Luke's father was a big one that shocked the fans, maybe the big twist will be Kylo finding out that Snoke is his future self. This could be heavy!
Once Ben finds out the truth, he "Forces" Snoke to tell him how to go back in time so that he can undo what he did. Here's the twist. The key in going back in time is from the Kyber crystals used in the Lightsabers. Which would explain why Ben wanted Darth Vader's old Lightsaber to begin with. He probably heard about it from Luke, but hearing again from Snoke confirmed it.
Here's the catch though. You can only use the Kyber crystal once because the crystal disappears when you travel through time. Which would further explain why Snoke doesn't appear to have a Lightsaber.
Another interesting thing to note, is that the movie after Episode VIII is the Han Solo movie. Coincidence? I think not! Maybe Ben will disguise himself as this guy? I mean he does kind of look like him...
Side note: Have you eve noticed that Kylo Ren's name is a mixture of SKYwalker and SoLO?
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars IX- Rey's Origin
Personally, I think that this movie will shed some light on Rey's origin, as it is taking place years after Return of the Jedi.
Some say that she is Luke's daughter, while others say that she is Leia's but recent theory suggests that she may be the daughter of one of the characters who will be in Rogue One.
My theory is that Luke is Rey's father and the mother will be played by Felicity Jones' character. Not only do both women look like they are related, but Jones is one of the main characters in this film. I'm betting that Jones' character is Obi-Wan Kenobi's daughter. This would satisfy both parties and actually make sense as to why Rey was hearing Kenobi's voice telling her about the path that she is on.
Now all that's left is the possible Boba Fett movie. A simple explanation to this connection would happen two ways.
One if the the theory that I mentioned about Boba Fett being Snoke is true, then we would see the origin story of how Fett becomes Snoke.
The other theory is a bit of a stretch. But what if Ben goes back in time to warn his father about his death, but Han doesn't believe him. Then Ben would have to find another way to protect his dad. And this is how it will go:
Ben would disguise himself as Boba Fett and try to gain Darth Vader's trust, so that he can secure Han Solo in carbonite. This would explain why Boba Fett says "As you wish." to Darth Vader, because according to The Princess Bride, what Boba Fett really meant was "I love you." And who loves Darth Vader more than his own dad? Kylo Ren!
This would also explain why Boba Fett had Luke Skywalker's tangled in his cords. He wanted to take the Lightsaber so that he could go "back to the future!"
Wait... If this theory is true, than that would mean that Supreme Leader Snoke is both Kylo Ren and Boba Fett!
Literally. Mind. Blown!
What do you think? Is this why we're getting all these Star Wars Spin-offs? Let me know in the comments below!
