[Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) left fans with several teases for upcoming movies in the DC Cinematic Universe by giving them a little peak of other popular DC characters in the Justice League like The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). The film already gave another Justice League member in Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) a great introduction as well.
Ezra Miller has a tough road ahead of him, more tough than his co-stars in the Justice League film in 2017. He will be facing the beloved CW show The Flash, with has Grant Gustin playing the fastest man alive. In Batman V Superman Barry Allen already has superpowers, which says that his first solo film after Justice League wont be a origin story.
Producer Deborah Snyder spoke to Forbes about the upcoming Flash film offering a big hint. Snyder revealed that The Flash solo film will feature Cyborg in some type of role.
“As you can imagine, when we get to the Flash movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher — who plays Cyborg — are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice camaraderie with each other. Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them.”
As we all know, Batman V Superman was heavenly criticized for being dark and not very funny. Miller has been known to appear in many dark dramas like We Need To Talk About Kevin, and in 2012 he was in the coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but was very funny in last year's comedy hit Trainwreck. But has Ray Fisher been back and forth between comedy and drama? Well he hasn't been anywhere at all, The Flash and Cyborg will be his first feature length films.
As for who is writing and directing The Flash film, Seth Grahame- Smith will be doing both duties. Grahame-Smith has never directed a film before but has written genre mash-up novels like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, both books are now feature length films.
Snyder's quote doesn't exactly say that the upcoming Flash film will be will be a team up film. Maybe Snyder meant to say that the solo film will be Flash film, but since the DC movie universe is all connected, there might be little teases of Cyborg here or there. Or maybe he just might be in parts of the film and then in action at the end just like Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman. In the end it will be awesome to see members of the Justice League appear in each other character's films. We will have to wait and see if we will see Cyborg pair up with the The Flash in 2018.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is now playing in U.S. theaters. The Flash arrives to theaters on March 16, 2018. Cyborg won't hit theaters until April 3, 2020.
