Who bit the bat? That's what we're all talking about in the aftermath of The Walking Dead Season 6 finale, where we saw Rick reduced to a shuddering wreck as he had all of his power stripped from him. Then Negan picked one of Rick's people to kill, but all we heard was the squelch of freshly-churned brains. It went down like this.

That's certainly one way to finish off a season — and a character. Many fans felt robbed of a decent conclusion by the cliffhanger ending, with The Daily Beast complaining:

A half-season of constant Negan talk, both onscreen and off, sputtered out in a half-ending that felt too transparently designed to deprive anyone the satisfaction of having predicted the big death. At worst, it was another cynical, manipulative ploy that came at the cost of good storytelling.

Do you agree? and if not, why not? Personally, I was just devastated at having to wait so long to find out who was on the business end of Lucille. You can vote for who you think Negan killed here.

They wouldn't... would they?
They wouldn't... would they?

Do you think that the writers stuck to the comic plans and killed Glenn? Or maybe Negan made good on his threat to finish off sickly-looking Maggie, turning the tables on our expectations by killing Glenn's wife in his place. I can't really think of anything more shocking than smashing a pregnant woman's face in with a wired baseball bat, so that'd certainly set a scary precedent for Negan's actions in Season 7.

Did you like 'The Walking Dead' Season 6 finale?
