The last chapter in Nathan Drake's bombastic adventures, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, looks like it may well surpass all expectations — at least, if these stunning leaked screenshots are anything to go by.

Italian website Spaziogames.it broke the embargo date for preview coverage, posting a number of images from the game's 10th Chapter, dubbed 'The Twelve Towers'. It's a section that shows off the game's more open ended structure, letting the player explore environments much larger than any charted during the previous entires.

The article was quickly deleted, but not before the previously unseen images were reposted by a fast-acting NeoGAF user. Scroll down for a taste of what's to come next month...

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is due for release on PlayStation 4 on May 10.

Will this really be the end for Nate Drake?
