JHU Comic Books, a popular Manhattan comic book shop, received a surprise visit from the one and only Sorcerer Supreme: Doctor Stephen Strange.

Benedict Cumberbatch, fresh off the set of Disney's upcoming Doctor Strange feature film and dressed in full costume, surprised patrons and employees of the comic retailer.

Even better, it looks like Cumberbatch snagged a copy of Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin's Doctor Strange: The Oath, one of the greatest Strange stories ever published:

Doctor Strange is due in theaters November 4.
