Yesterday, Sony Pictures registered an online domain titled SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com and it sent the Internet into a frenzy. The solo Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland has yet to get a title and fans are looking for any hint as to what it might be. Spiderman Homecoming is a very interesting prospective title and quite fitting, since Spider-Man is now back at Marvel where he belongs.
But there are a few more titles that we could get.
Earlier today, Sony registered three new domains that possibly give us an idea of what to expect with the upcoming Spidey film.
Could One Of These Domains Be The Movie's Title?
The three new domains that were registered by Sony are as follows:
- SpiderManComingOfAgeMovie.com — Spider-Man: Coming Of Age
- SpiderManGreatnessAwaitsMovie.com — Spider-Man: Greatness Awaits
- SpiderManSuspendedMovie.com — Spider-Man: Suspended
These titles seem a bit complex, but nonetheless it's all we have to work with at this point. Spider-Man: Coming Of Age would be a great title since it is the first installment in the franchise and it could set the tone for all Spider-Man projects going forward. It wouldn't surprise me if not too long after Civil War we get an announcement on what the Spidey solo film will be titled.
Would Any Of These Titles Work?
It seems like Marvel and Sony will be getting pretty complex when it comes to titles. I was a fan of The Spectacular Spider-Man or even Ultimate Spider-Man, but the studios know what they're doing. It will be interesting to see what title the film gets so we can finally have some clues as to what we should expect in Spidey's solo Marvel debut. Hopefully we also get a hint as to who the villain will be. Now that would really get the fans talking!
