Here’s a sneak peek into the world of me, Kate, a Graphic Designer who for the last few years has been crafting personal and commissioned works under the illustration name of mobokeh.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Tribute piece produced for the highly anticipated Zach Snyder movie. I didn’t necessarily want to show the two iconic characters locked in a fist fight, but something that suggested tension, atmosphere and that Batman’s ’superhero landing’ could be either interpreted as a move of aggression, or he’s about to join Supes at his side as an ally.
What a lovely day
I wanted to try something a little different for this piece. Initially, the idea was to have the Interceptor hurtling towards the War Boy as if you were witnessing the action through the lens of a GoPro camera attached to the side of the car. The finished piece looks like the camera's come loose amongst the chaos and carnage, so the composition evolved slightly.
Shortlist Magazine invited me to produce a piece for Jurassic World. I accepted as fast as you can say 'DINO DNA' and set to work on an epic artwork consisting of 2,499 individual pieces coloured. Inspired from imagery with Chris speeding on his bike with his trusty velociraptors.
Who Are you?
Alternative poster submitted to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Poster Spy contest.
Shortlisted from over 80 entries, the piece was exhibited at the Curzon Mayfair cinema from 17th December 2015 for two weeks. C-3PO himself (Anthony Daniels) had a hand in judging the work submitted.
I See Them
A piece reflecting the idea that the Scout Troopers could do with a little more camouflage in their uniform.
Are you ready? You look ready. A fun experimental piece featuring such an iconic comic book character. Really loved the film, maybe there’ll be a sequel or TV show one day?
