Is Zack Snyders “Man Of Steel” is a controversial movie or was it an entertaining movie that brought the Superman character into the 21st century. A candid look at who Clark Kent was in the movie tells us that he struggled with a being visitor from another planet. He did not know he was Kal-El son of His Jor-El and Lara of Krypton till he met the computer version of Jor-El and he explained his past. Jonathan and Martha Kent adopt Kal-El and name him Clark Kent. As Clark grows up on Earth, he and his adoptive parents discover that he has superhuman powers. The Kent’s teach Clark to use these powers responsibly caution him in revealing himself to the world.

It is easy to understand how Clark is confused about what his place is in the world of humans and how an inexperienced Superman could see that his only choice with Zod was to kill him to stop him from hurting others. The destruction was unavoidable once Zod set up the world changing machines trying to terraform the earth for Kryptonians only and repopulate it making a new Krypton displacing the billions of people already here. Many people blamed Kal-El for the destruction setting the table for Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice.

In the movie Batman v Superman, Batman will put this Superman to the test to see if he is evil and dangerous for the world. Fueled by visions of world domination and an angry Superman with minions at his service holding Batman in bindings and unmasking him. And in the pictures released by Empire it shows Batman standing over a desolate city with pillars of fire shooting to heaven like found on Apokolips with an Omega sign written in the the ground.

The giant Omega symbol in that picture? Well, that’s one of the trademarks of Darkseid, who shoots “Omega Beams” from his eyes. Darkseid the ruler of planet Apokolips. He is one of the most powerful beings in the entire DC Universe by design, and when Jack Kirby created him, he made no bones about being very clear that Darkseid was based on Adolf Hitler. He is fascism on an interstellar scale, and over the course of his time as a DC bad guy and he has positively the worst family history of betrayal and murder and conquest. He has controlled and brain washed people and heroes to obtain his evil objectives.

He is the evil angry god of the DC Universe and like Thanos is in the Marvel Universe. They are the ultimate in opposition for the heroes of the respective universes. Darkseid is a greater threat than Doomsday with his armies and Omega beams. The Justice League movie on November 17th 2017 will bring Warner Bros. into the movie superhero world with Marvel Studios. We will see if the WB can match Marvel in exciting movies. We are glade to be along for the ride. Stay tuned for more from Comics Talk. comicstalk.com - Walt
