The Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to distance itself from the TV Universe, till now. We have seen characters from the movies make an appearance on the shows, such as Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Jaimie Alexander’s Sif, Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter, and Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark. But we haven't seen any of the characters from the TV Universe make an appearance on any of the movies. All that's about to change.

Walt Disney has released a list of Captain America: Civil War actors who would be attending its world premiere in Los Angeles next week, and while most of the names are people you would expect – including Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman – but one interesting name included is Alfre Woodard.

Usually, the casting of small roles go unnoticed. But this one is significant because Woodard was cast as the character Mariah Dilliard in the upcoming Netflix-Marvel series Luke Cage. If she ends up being a part of the movie, technically Mariah Dillard wouldn’t be the first Marvel TV character to appear in a Marvel movie. We might just have to wait till Captain America: Civil War hit theatres, to see for ourselves whether she's indeed a part of the movie.

Let us know what you think about Mariah Dilliard being the first character to crossover to the movies from TV.
