The Nanny may have been off the air for almost 20 years, but that doesn't mean we love the Fine-Sheffield clan any less. How cute is it that they still get together to celebrate birthdays, even after all these years?
Here's what the whole cast looks like now:
Fran Fine — Fran Drescher
Current Age: 58
Drescher didn't just star in The Nanny — she wrote, produced, and even directed a few episodes, too!
This quadruple threat's career was was already in full swing before she started The Nanny, with titles under her belt like Saturday Night Fever, Fame, and This Is Spinal Tap.
Since then, she's had another series from 2005 to 2007 called Living With Fran, where she played another character based on herself by the name of Fran Reeves. She played a third TV Fran, Fran Lovett, in Happily Divorced from 2011 to 2013. She's also done voice work as Eunice in Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania 2.
Best quote from The Nanny:
Maxwell Sheffield — Charles Shaughnessy
Current Age: 61
You might know him best as Mr. Sheffield, but to most Charles Shaughnessy fans, he's Shane Donovan on Days of Our Lives, where he had a successful 93-episode run from 1984 until 2013. He also played Captain Elliot Sanders on the TV series The Bay.
Did you know? Shaughnessy did voice work on for popular kids' series Johnny Bravo (Rubick), Hey Arnold! (Golf Store Man), and a squirrel in The Wild Thornberrys Movie.
Niles — Daniel Davis
Current Age: 70
Davis has appeared on many well known TV shows, both before and after The Nanny: Rugrats, Frasier, Ugly Betty, Cheers, MacGyver, and many more. Most recently you might have seen him as Jacob Skolimski in Gotham.
Still, he'll always be Niles to us.
C.C. Babcock — Lauren Lane
Current Age: 55
After The Nanny, Lane provided voice talent for the character Ivana Baiul in the film Gen (1999). She spent more time working in stage theater at the Zachary Scott Theatre in Austin, TX. She currently works as a lecturer in the Acting department at Texas State University.
I wonder if any of her students ever give her a hard time, Niles-style...
Maggie Sheffield — Nicholle Tom
Current Age: 38
Even young Nicholle Tom had done a fair bit of work before joining the cast of The Nanny. She appeared in one episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air back in 1991, and she played the sister in the Beethoven movies and TV show.
She's also spent some time in a super-suit! She played Supergirl/Kara in the Superman (1998-2000) TV series, and then again in the Justice League from 2004 to 2006. Soon you'll be able to catch her in the film Saturn Returns, which is currently in post-production.
Did You Know? Maggie wasn't in the original script for The Nanny. However, the producers thought it would be a good idea to have an older daughter that Fran could teach the ways of womanhood.
Brighton Sheffield — Benjamin Salisbury
Current Age: 35
The middle Sheffield child currently lives in LA, happily married and playing hockey at the LA Kings clinic with his blushing bride. His days of sitting on the sidelines narrating — like he did in D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996) — are long behind him.
Recently he had a small role in the TV series Numb3rs, and worked as a production assistant on the sci-fi film, S1m0ne.
Grace Sheffield — Madeline Zima
Current Age: 30
Madeline Zima had no trouble transitioning from child actor to teen, to grown adult. She's had no shortage of roles in film or TV. At first she had small, one-time appearances on big shows like Gilmore Girls, 7th Heaven, and Grey's Anatomy. Then came bigger parts, like Gretchen Berg on Heroes and Mia from Californication. She's also appeared in thriller films like Breaking the Girls and I Am Watching You.
Sylvia Fine — Renée Taylor
Current Age: 83
Fran's hilarious and over-the-top mother just celebrated her 83rd birthday, with the help of her on-screen daughter and son-in-law.
But she's made no plans to retire anytime soon. Her film The Do Over is currently in post-production and due for release later this year. She's also appeared on Happily Divorced with her friend Fran Drescher, and on Shake It Up! as Mrs. Locassio.
