Janet Jackson has revealed that the true reason that she canceled the second leg of her 'Unbreakable' tour and, in strong contrast to the rumors her decision was to do with poor health, she has announced she wants to start a family with her husband.
The 49-year-old legend made the surprising confession in a Facebook video and she seemed bursting with excitement over the announcement that she and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are ready to welcome children into their lives.
While she didn't specifically announce a pregnancy, the phrasing that she was "under doctor's orders to rest" seems to imply that Janet hopes to carry her own child instead of opting for adoption.
If you are not in a quiet place to watch the video, I have transcribed it for you below. Janet speaks to the camera and explains:
"Hey you guys on August 31 I launched the Unbreakable World Tour. First I just want to thank all the fans for coming out to see the show. We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you would be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour. Please if you can try and understand that it's important that I do this now, I have to rest up, doctor's orders! But I have not forgotten about you.
I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can. I want to thank the dancers, the band, my entire crew. I can't wait for us to get started again."
Congratulations to Janet for deciding to embark on this exciting stage in her life!
