Following the tsunami-like wave of criticism that hit Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for being too grim and gritty, Warner Bros. has ordered extensive reshoots for the upcoming David Ayer-directed film Suicide Squad.
Brett Schulte, a tech guy who claimed to be on the LA set of Suicide Squad, tweeted this message alerting us that there "wasn't much to see but heard three weeks of reshoots, only two days on location the rest on stage. Don't know cast."
Most of the film was previously filmed in Toronto, Canada, and while there are no details on which scenes are being changed up, we do know that they are looking to sprinkle some more humor into the film due to the fact that fans found Dawn of Justice incredibly bleak.
Suicide Squad tells the story of a "secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S [that] creates a task force comprising super villains, the 'Suicide Squad.' They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences."
Be sure to check it out in theaters on August 5.
