I enjoy watching films and discussing them in terms of quality and how they perform financially.

In a month's time, the highly anticipated third Captain America installment will be unleashed. It is going to do extremely well. There can be no doubt about that. A few months ago, I thought it would open near Iron Man 2 ($128 million) give or take about $5 million, but now that anticipation and buzz is sky high, my prediction is far higher. This is the second superhero vs. superhero battle film of 2016. The first was Batman Vs. Superman. That film opened to $166, but was poorly reviewed and is sinking quickly. I do not see a situation in which Civil War opens lower than Batman Vs. Superman. That being said, I do not think it will get to an opening near the first Avengers ($207.4 million). This is because it only has three weeks before X-Men Apocalypse comes out which a lot of people are excited for as well, which will limit how high Civil War will open and close to. Ultimately, though, it will end up becoming one of the highest grossing films of all time. I predict an opening in between that of Iron Man 3 ($174.1 million) and The Avengers 2 ($191.3 million). It should also really clean up overseas.

Opening Weekend: $178 million

Final Domestic Total: $481 million

Final Worldwide Total: $1.505 billion
