If you've been worried about the development of the live action Death Note, fear no more. The project, which will start shooting in June, is in safe hands with the skilled purveyors of original content: Netflix!

The Death Note movie is set to be directed by You're Next and The Guest's Adam Wingard, with Margaret Qualley and Nat Wolff starring. Word of warning: Jeremy Slater of Fantastic Four fame is writing the script, so that may bother you if you weren't a fan of the year's biggest superhero flop.

Here's the current synopsis:

“The story follows a student who discovers a mysterious notebook that kills whomever’s name is written in it. When the student meets the notebook’s previous owner, a demon bent on ridding the world of anyone it deems evil or useless, he ends up tracked by an Interpol officer investigating the unexplainable deaths of several criminals.“
