It's been a long, long road, but we're in the final stretch of our Game of Thrones countdown. With a little over two weeks until the show's premiere date, fans of the series are ready for some answers regarding our favorite characters.
On last night's episode of Conan, Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth, revealed that the series author, George R.R. Martin, entrusted him with a pretty big secret about the fate of Westeros and its many inhabitants.
While, unfortunately for us, Cunningham remained tight-lipped about the massive piece of information, he was able to share a short clip from the upcoming season featuring Davos being a badass and defending a very dead Jon Snow.
Pieces of this footage were already shown in the show's trailer released last month, but it's great seeing the scene more in full. Skip to the 1:49 minute mark to see the clip:
The hype is real! If that didn't get your heart racing for the season premiere, then I'm not sure what will.
Prior to this clip's release, it was unclear whether Davos was fighting with or against the men inside the room. Now we know that what lies outside the castle door poses far more of a threat. Even with nearly the whole of the Night's Watch breaking down the door, I would never want to face the wrath of Jon's few remaining loyalists, Ghost, and Davos wielding Valyrian steel.
I guess we'll just have to tune in on the 24th to see how this small army of men will protect the late Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.
Season 6 of 'Game of Thrones' will premier on HBO on April 24.
