On April 4th, the makers of the upcoming Japanese live-action Death Note 2016 film gave us a small peek into what was to be expected. They tweeted two stills of actor Masaki Suda as Yūgi Shion- cyber terrorist Shien - via the official twitter of Death Note.

The film is a sequel to the previous Japanese live-action films, that were adapted from the supernatural suspense manga. In the manga, Light Yagami finds a notebook outside his school, which holds the power to kill people whose names are written inside.

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the new film's story is about Yugi Shion, a teen-genius who somehow ‘inherited the DNA’ from Light Yagami and another genius who inherits the DNA from L. The pair begin to then battle it out over six Death Notes on Earth. They also reported that the film is slated to release this October 29th in Japan, and may be getting a R-rating. It won't be long before we know everything,we've just got to wait till October.
