The 2016 edition of MTV Movie Awards, that celebrated some of last year's hits including Star Wars: Force Awakens, Mad Max: Fury Road and Deadpool, was hosted by the Central Intelligence duo Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

While Force Awakens won big, including Movie of the Year, Breakthrough Performance for Daisy Ridley, and Best Villain for Adam Driver, Ryan Reynolds bagged two awards (which were also his first two awards for his epic potrayal of Deadpool) for Best Comedic Performance and Best Fight.
