Those who shelled out over $100 dollars for Star Wars: Battlefront have finally been rewarded. Season Pass holders were capable of indulging in the limited joys that came with the release of Outer Rim in late March, two weeks before the rest of us, who got it on April 5.

The first DLC release for Star Wars: Battlefront brought an increased level cap, 3 new maps, 2 iconic characters, some new weapons, and Hutt Contracts. Critical responses to DICE's DLC pack were decent, while users were less than content. But while it's early days for these new features, we're already finding ourselves thinking about Battlefront's next expansion, Bespin, which is set to receive a release date over the Summer.

Playing Outer Rim is interesting. I enjoy some of the changes to the UI that the update brought, the new maps are tight and intense, Greedo is a pretty decent villain (sorry Nien Nunb (see "not sorry")), the level cap has finally been raised and I'm enjoying the concept of Hutt Contracts. But it makes you desire more, and I look forward to the potential of a new planet with Bespin.

But aside from a level cap raise, new maps and potentially some more modes to engage in, we have a new hero and a new villain on the horizon.

Hey! There's, Lando.
Hey! There's, Lando.

It seems a given that Lando Calrissian, who was introduced to us in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, would appear in the DLC pack that shares the name of the planet on which Lando lived. The city in the clouds was a spectacular backdrop and it's sure to look fantastic in Star Wars: Battlefront, but if Lando Calrissian is our hero for Bespin, who's the villain?

It was disappointing that the new heroes and villains in Outer Rim were essentially new skins of aliens we could already play as - particularly in the case of Nien Nunb. Therefore, we have to entertain the possibility that Bespin may also disappoint. But if DICE do right by the planet, Lando Calrissian is safely assured. But seeing as Darth Vader and Boba Fett were the only villains we saw on Bespin in the film, who would your choice be for Star Wars: Battlefront's next DLC pack. Here are my choices:

  • IG-88 - Though never seen on Bespin, this robotic being was seen as the chief rival to Boba Fett and another feared bounty hunter in the galaxy in The Empire Strikes Back. He is a war droid that survived the Clone Wars who then turned to bounty hunting in the aftermath. Could be a great choice to fight against Lando.
  • Bossk - Another bounty hunter to appear in Empire, Bossk is a well-liked reptilian alien among Star Wars fans. Personally I think that bounty hunters are the perfect rivals for Lando.

Who would your choice be for a villain in the upcoming Bespin DLC pack for [Star Wars: Battlefront](tag:2684021)?
