Ladies, we've all been there — that dreaded time of the month when all you want to do is hug your uterus and consume a bucket of Ben & Jerry's while bawling your eyes out to The Notebook. And let's face it, in such critical situations, the last thing many of us would want to do is attend an event with many important people wearing something that clings to your inflated bod in all the wrong places.
Truth-bomb dropper Jennifer Lawrence knows exactly what I'm talking about! Just like every woman on the planet, the actress is also the proud owner of a uterus, and like everyone else, she's also had to adjust her plans to accommodate ol' Aunt Flo's uncomfortable stay in town.
In the May issue of Harper's Bazaar, JLaw explained how she had to re-consider her original choice of dress for the Golden Globes. Instead of opting for her intended gown, she went with a more comfortable choice because she had the painters in.
“Plan A was a dress that I couldn’t wear because awards season is synced with my menstrual cycle, and it has been for years."
Going for a red Dior gown with cut-outs and a looser front was certainly a good decision:
“And I didn’t have to worry about sucking anything in. The other dress was really tight, and I’m not going to suck in my uterus. I don’t have to do that.”
And we wouldn't want you to either, J!
Thanks for showing once again that celebrities can also be normal people with normal life experiences. Keep it real, girl!
