Patrick Stewart is somewhat of an international treasure, adored by millions the world over. Part of his allure is his air of pleasantness, yet in his new movie, Green Room, he demonstrates a sadistic streak as a nightclub owner with violent tendencies.

The latest red band trailer for the gore fest shows lots of gruesome arm-popping gory goodness. However, before watching, be warned that it does give away a few plot points (and, naturally, those of a delicate disposition avert your eyes):

The calibre of Stewart and the rest of the cast (including Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots) do show that gore is secondary to the storyline in Jeremy Saulnier's flick. So much so, the movie currently has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Making its debut at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Green Room focuses on the story of an unlucky Punk rock band who witness a murder in the venue they're performing at.

But, that's far from the worst of it; the ultra-violent horror pits club owner Darcy Banker (Stewart) and his white supremacist buddies against the band in a battle to the death.

Feast your bloodthirsty eyes on the synopsis below:

"But while Darcy and his henchmen think the band will be easy to get rid of, The Ain’t Rights prove themselves much more cunning and capable than anyone expected, turning the tables on their unsuspecting captors and setting the stage for the ultimate life-or-death showdown."
