Pascal Laugier's Martyrs is widely regarded to be one of the most disturbing movies of all time, so it's kind of a big deal that the director is eyeing up his only other post-Martyrs horror movie since 2012's Jessica Biel spookfest The Tall Man.
Laugier is looking to start shooting his self-written Incident In A Ghost Land this summer, starring Mylène Farmer, Crystal Reed and Anastasia Philipps.
Bloody Disgusting report that the plot of Incident In A Ghost Land:
''Follows a mother of two who inherits a home from her Aunt. On the first night in the new home she is confronted with murderous intruders and fights for her daughters’ lives.
When the girls suffer this terrible childhood trauma, their disparate personalities diverge even further. One is said to become a famous horror author, with a perfect family and life in Los Angeles, while the other can’t cope, and loses her mind.
The movie takes place 16 years later when the daughters reunite at the house, and that’s when things get strange.''
There are echoes of Alexandre Aja's Haute Tension and Maury & Bustillo's Livide here, which can't be a bad thing. Are you looking forward to Pascal Laugier's next horror movie?
