Wayward Pines was only intended to run for its 10 episode opening season. Yet following a resoundingly positive reception from critics, combined with decent viewing figures, fans will be treated with more confusingly terrifying goodness in a brand new second season.

The series tells the claustrophobic story of a mysterious town where no one leaves alive (or dead for that matter). US Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon) enters the town while investigating the disappearance of two of his colleagues.

The fantastical and psychologically torturing tale focuses on Burke and his quest to uncover the truth in the town governed by the local Sheriff, Arnold Pope (Terrence Howard).
