This should be taken with a grain of salt for now as it's an unconfirmed report from Flickering Myth, but the website claims to have an inside scoop on casting for the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Actor Spencer Wilding is said to be taking on the role of the towering villain, which would mean that Hayden Christensen would not be returning as previously rumored. It should be noted that this is just for the physical role of Vader on screen, just as David Prowse played the villain in the Original Trilogy while James Earl Jones provided his iconic voice.

Standing tall at 6 feet 7 inches, Wilding certainly fits the bill of being an intimidating figure, having previously appeared in "big man" stunt roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman Begins, Game of Thrones and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

We'll update this story once casting can be confirmed. Rogue One is due in theaters December 16, 2016.
