When it comes to movies, the environment of where one is watching the film is key element in the experience itself. The following is a list of home theaters created by people who decided that staying in for a movie could possibly be better than IMAX if done right.

1. Star Trek

Behold the Enterprise.
Behold the Enterprise.

The first home theater is based off The Enterprise ship from the Star Trek series. This home theater is designed by Electronics Systems Consultants and comes in at a whopping price of just around $3,000,000. Yeah, you read that right. That said, this in home setup without a doubt would be the perfect environment for having a Sci-Fi movie marathon.

2. Star Wars

In a galaxy far far away.
In a galaxy far far away.

Our next theater takes us back in time across the galaxy to experience the spectacle that is Star Wars. This theater is the product of what happens when two former Star Wars Fan Club presidents put their minds together. The theater itself has many interesting features in the room included multiple life sized stand ups of some of the Star Wars characters. Not to mention the awesome incorporation of Han Solo in carbonite mounted into the wall. The total price of the setup comes in at just over $1,000,000. So remember Star Wars fans to start saving your money and one day you could build a theater like this for yourselves.

3. Marvel's Avengers

All you are missing is Nick Fury.
All you are missing is Nick Fury.

This home theater might have you calling yourself Director Nick Fury after a couple of films in it. It's customized design is meant to resemble a S.H.I.E.L.D. style format. It also has Captain America's shield hanging on the wall, as the lights give off a red and blue sequence making you feel like an Avenger. That said, this theater is yet to be in existence as it is merely an idea of a possibility. But fear not Marvel fans, I'm sure that one day this theater will be brought to life and possibly by you.

4. Pirates of The Caribbean

You might as well start mopping the deck.
You might as well start mopping the deck.

Possibly the most insane home theater you may ever see is this one based off the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise. This design is a custom made from the team at Elite Home Theater Seating, who set out to make a man's dream of a unique custom theater come true. The theater itself is entirely indoors and consists of a ticketing booth, a tavern, and screening that is designed to look like ship's deck. But with great detail also comes a great cost, as this project at completion will be just around $2,500,000. Even still, what a fantastic home theater that is sure to blow the minds of anyone who steps it in.

5. Batman

Welcome to the BatCave.
Welcome to the BatCave.

Try not to cry DC fans as you look at the spectacle of what is this Batcave style home theater system. It's worth noting that this home theater is just as high tech as it looks. The theater itself is equipped with live Batsuits, a cylinder shaped elevator, a 180 inch screen, a book shelf that hides Batman's Tumbler with a mock exit that goes for about 30 plus feet, and a thumb print scanner in order to enter the theater. Once again, this is a theater done up by the team over at Elite Home Theater Seating and comes at a cost of just over $2,000,000. Though it would probably take the money of Bruce Wayne in order to make this theater come to life for yourself, it doesn't hurt to dream. Or you know, become friends with someone that owns one of these.

Bonus The IMAX Private Theater

Bigger is usually better.
Bigger is usually better.

For those that still wish they could sit in an IMAX theater all day and watch movies but can't, well now you can. IMAX is currently offering a new system called IMAX Private Theater. The system includes all of the perks of going out to an IMAX theater. Which includes, the IMAX full wall curved screen, the 7.1 channel surround sound, a 4K Dual Projector, and daily tuning and calibrations made by the speakers themselves. You even get the room custom engineered for pitch perfect sound and are connected to a monitoring system in case a speaker goes bad. The only real down side to this crazy in home possibility is the price. The system comes in at a price of just over $2,000,000. Well it's still cool to think about.

So what do you think? Would you ever get one of these custom theaters? Let me know in the comments down below.
