This movie is going to be the strangest Marvel film yet, and it's going to BLOW OUR MINDS!

Fans have long awaited for Benedict Cumberbatch to become a part of the Marvel universe, and the day has finally come. The first teaser trailer for Marvel's Doctor Strange just hit the internet and, literally, I am still processing it. This will be the most unique Marvel film to date, and is completely different from anything Marvel Studios has put out to date. Along with Benedict, the film stars Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mads Mikkelsen, and follows the character Dr. Stephen Strange from Marvel's comic series in his origin story, essentially.

The trailer has a Matrix meets Inception meets Harry Potter vibe, with cities collapsing on themselves in different realities, Martial Arts, and magic and mysticism galore. It looks to be following pretty closely to the comics, with Doctor Strange traveling to various countries to find his ultimate destiny before returning to New York. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton are ELECTRIFYING on screen, a sorcerer and apprentice, and leave you wanting MORE NOW PLEASE! Seriously, my brain is not working right yet, give me a minute and watch for yourself!

It's so strange (pun intended) because it looks and feels nothing like a Marvel film, and I think that is what has me most excited (besides Benedict of course). Marvel has done so well with it's classic superhero tales, but Doctor Strange is off the wall, and isn't quite as simple as The Avengers or Iron Man, for example, it's more complex, and no doubt translating it to screen presented many obstacles.

The teaser mostly focuses on Doctor Strange's origin, and doesn't give much away in the way of the big bad of the film. We do know that Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the main villain, but his role title has not been revealed, nor has Rachel McAdams. Mads will play a sorcerer who breaks off into his own sect, and we can see from the trailer that Doctor Strange will accept his role as the defender of the world against evil magic, so things are going to get real folks!

I am excited for Captain America: Civil War, but I think Doctor Strange might have just taken its spot as the Marvel film I am most looking forward to seeing this year! It's look completely unpredictable!

Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4th, 2016!
