Harrison Ford will go down in history as one of the all time greats. Not only was he the whip-wielding archaeologist from the Indiana Jones trilogy (let's not mention the fourth one), but he was also our favorite smuggler in the Star Wars universe. IfOnly hosted an auction on Tuesday that featured an iconic piece from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. No, it wasn’t Chewie’s bow-caster or even Luke’s lightsaber, but rather Han’s own brown leather jacket worn in the film.

As reported by The Wrap, this iconic piece of memorabilia went up for auction at a whooping $191,000! Now that’s a lot of dough if you ask me. However, Solo won’t be giving this money away to Kanjiklub or the Guavian Death Gang, that much is certain. Instead, all of the proceeds will be going to charity, specifically, the NYU Langone Medical Center and FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures).

The bid started at $15,000 between 50 bidders and continued to soar until the amount sold at $191,000. The piece is not only special due to Ford’s final appearance in a Star Wars movie, but because the jacket was also signed and included a certificate of authenticity from Lucasfilm.

The jacket will go down as yet another unique piece of memorabilia from a Star Wars films. It’s wonderful when you hear news like this, knowing that the winnings directly went to a good cause.

Are you as shocked at how much money the jacket went for as I am? What piece of memorabilia would you like to own from a Star Wars movie? I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts in the comments section below!
