The last episode of Supergirl ended on the ultimate cliffhanger, seeing Supergirl and her adoptive sister Alex set to fight to the death! With her uncle Non controlling all of National City, including her adoptive sister and cousin Superman, Non and Indigo's victory looks set in stone.

The trailer for the finale episode Better Angels is showing fans the season will end with nothing but pure action!

The trailer appears to show Cat's plan of giving the citizens of National City an image that is so powerful it breaks Non's control will work. The vision of hope the citizens need appears to be Supergirl herself.

Appearing on a large screen Supergirl appeals to the citizens and you clearly see those in the vicinity taking notice of her image. We also see James among others appearing to fight the hold Non has on them, or are being hurt by Non for fighting his control. Fans can also breath a sigh of relief as the trailer reveals Martian Manhunter has lived to fight another day.

In the last episode we witness J'onn fall after be skewered by Indigo and allowing Non to take control of Alex. Well while he appeared lifeless in "Myraid" fans can hold their heads high knowing the Martian Manhunter couldn't fall that easily. It appears that he is also going to make Indigo pay in the finale as he is set to face her, while Kara faces her uncle.

We also know from the trailer that Non is going to get personal in his battle with Supergirl. So much so that it appears to trigger a raw power within her as she fights back against him.

She unleashes her heat vision with such ferocity that it now makes it clear why that power has only been seen sparingly through the series. While she has been seen to use the ability a few times, it appears they were holding out on her using it to its full potential for the finale. One thing the trailer does not make clear is how her and Alex's battle ends.

We see multiple shots of their fight, but we do not see Alex outside the fight in the entire trailer. While it is most likely Supergirl wins but it leaves Alex wounded, the possibilities of Alex dying in the finale are not out of the question. Especially as we know from the trailer both James and Winn will survive Non's control.

You see Kara embracing her two friends during the trailer, which is presumably going to be seen towards the end of the episode. But is this a goodbye hug from Kara? As it appears the krytonite bomb created by Maxwell is going to be used by Supergirl.

The Martian Manhunter can be seen clearly shielding his face from a bright green light, which is most likely the light from the explosion of the krptonite bomb. The bomb will kill all the Kryptonians and make it so Supergirl can not return to National City for 50 years due to the residue of the explosion. Is this why a second series has not been announced by CBS? Is Supergirl designed to be a single series show?

I personally hope not, hopefully the show's renewal will be announced after the finale, and what we think the trailer reveals could also be proven to be misleading once the finale airs. For example the green light J'on J'onzz is shielding himself from could be from something other than the kryptonite bomb, only the finale itself will reveal all the answer for us. The finale is set to air on 18th April, 2016. So mark in your diaries and join Supergirl in her final battle of the season. Needless to say, Kara has come a long way from the little girl we first saw in her escape pod.
