A new Suicide Squad trailer came out this week that caused quite a stir, but it never made Marvel miss a stride. Instead, Marvel gave their fans one of the most exciting weeks (or technically day for that matter) of their lives. It all started off with the world premiere of [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), which was then followed by a teaser trailer for Doctor Strange. Last but not least, the title of the solo Spider-Man film was finally revealed to be Spider-Man: Homecoming, just as some fans (including myself) had speculated. But for those who have not heard of any of the events last night, here is a quick recap.
Captain America: Civil World Premiere
The Captain America: Civil War world premiere was actually available through a live stream on Marvel.com. The stream was supported by Comicave Studios. During the stream, you were able to witness interviews with all of the stars of the film. Stars from other Marvel televisions series' were also present. Marvel's live stream allowed to really get a feel of what it was like to be on the red carpet with the rest of the cast. It's also worth noting that Tom Holland did walk the carpet but was not present for the cast call (more on that in a minute).
Doctor Strange Teaser Trailer
Doctor Strange's teaser trailer was released during the time that the cast was inside of the Captain America: Civil War world premiere. It was released by Benedict Cumberpatch on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The trailer that was long awaited by fans did not disappoint. The Sorcerer Supreme was in full swing (Spider-Man pun) without a doubt. Fans are for sure more hyped than ever to go see Doctor Strange as he hits theaters later this year.
Spider-Man Solo Film Title Revealed
So this is where Tom Holland took off to. He went out to CinemaCon in Las Vegas where Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman announced the title of the solo Spider-Man film. This was definitely a pleasant surprise for most Marvel fans cause speculation said we wouldn't get an official title for quite some time. None the less, here it is and we should definitely be celebrating this new turn in Spider-Man's great life.
That's all I have. What do you think? Did these announcements just make your week so much better? Let me know in the comments down below.
