Everyone and their mother knows who Winnie the Pooh is — probably because, as a kid, you begged her to read you the books and watch the animation with you. But not a lot is known of the creator A.A. Milne.
Director Simon Curtis is looking to steer the helm of Goodbye Christopher Robin and he currently has his eye on Domhnall Gleeson to play Milne.
The film will focus on the relationship between Milne and his son Robin, who became the inspiration for the character Christopher Robin. Robin's toys also inspired Milne to create characters like Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.
Gleeson's schedule seems pretty jam-packed (Crash Pad; Mena; Star Wars: Episode VIII; A Futile & Stupid Gesture) but I'm sure he can fit it in. We don't have many details about when the film hits cinemas, so we'll just sit here with Rabbit, eating jars of hunny while we wait for a release date.
