Universal Studios has created a massive Halloween following among theme park visitors over the past 25 years. Universal's Halloween Horror Nights introduced haunted mazes, haunted houses, and an overall spooky atmosphere at both parks in Hollywood and Orlando. Even though it's only April, HHN 2016 is already starting to take shape as Universal Studios announced its first maze.

The 1974 original version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is going to be one of the haunted mazes at Universal Studios Orlando in Florida. Leatherface has been absent from Halloween Horror Nights Orlando since the legends maze that was part of the 2007 celebration. The same year also brought us the "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Flesh Wounds." Leatherface returned to Universal Studios Hollywood's HHN celebration in 2012 in a feature called “The Saw is the Law.”

Michael Aiello, director of creative development for entertainment, gave us this announcement:

The horror fan in me is looking forward to reliving this story and entering that dilapidated Texas farmhouse. The anticipation of coming face-to-face with a horror legend and having my screams drowned by that saw blade is just as prevalent now as when I first witnessed this amazing horror film decades ago."
