What was your favorite Marvel post-credit scene? Mine was the one right after Age of Ultron where all the Avengers sat around and laughed about how insane it was that Bruce Banner had pulled Natasha Romanoff.
Anyway, with a new Marvel adventure right around the corner, let's take a look at who we might expect to feature in the post-credits of [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409).
Hulk + Thor
Thor and Hulk have been two of the MCU's major players so far, and both being absent from Civil War, especially after Hulk's role in Age of Ultron, feels kinda weird. We already know the hammer-wielder and the "big green guy" will be teaming up in [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858), described by Mark Ruffalo as a "road trip movie in outer space."
With a premise like that, either Ragnarok will be another kind of trip or director Taika Waititi will have a lot to answer for. Still, it's not impossible that Marvel will throw us a bone by teasing the third Thor in the post-credits scene for Civil War. Right?
Chances of a Hulk and/or Thor cameo: 50%
Dr. Stephen Strange feels like an obvious contender for a sneaky Civil War post-credits debut, considering his movie is out so soon, but considering that the film is an origin story that could be logistically difficult — unless we see him, pre-car crash, prior to his superhero transformation, reading about the death of Captain America in a newspaper.
Just kidding. Nobody reads newspapers in 2016.
Chances of a Doctor Strange appearance: 35%
Okay, so the odds are stacked against this one. For one thing, we haven't seen Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage unite on Netflix yet — in fact we haven't even laid eyes on Iron Fist. But there are still ways in which the Marvel TV gang could be brought into the fold.
Even assuming nobody dies, some of our Avengers are going to find themselves injured — and who better to call upon than the Night Nurse herself? Giving Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) a brief post-credit scene tending to Peter Parker's wounds would be an excellent nod to the existence of the Hell's Kitchen heroes, especially considering Jessica Jones has comic book history with Spider-Man.
Chances of a Defenders or Night Nurse cameo: 10%
There's an ancient saying originated in the tribes who lived in the foothills of the Andes which roughly translates as "one can never have enough Spider-Man." Wise men. Can Marvel resist the opportunity to tease the story of Tom Holland's first solo outing as the web-slinger? Probably not.
Best-case scenario is Tony Stark delivers Peter home in a limo to Aunt May, who then gives her her nephew a good spanking for staying out so late.
Chances of a 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' tease/Aunt May cameo: 75%
