Cliffhanger controversy aside, I think plenty of fans would agree that Negan's arrival on The Walking Dead was totally badass. He's only been on the show for one scene, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan's portrayal of the character has all the makings of a fan-favorite villain.

Even though The Walking Dead has free rein to deviate from the source material, the showrunners still stay true enough to the comic books so that fans can recognize some of their favorite scenes. See how closely the show compared to the comic books in these side-by-side comparisons:

If the show stays really faithful to the source material, then we already know who Negan killed at the end of Season 6. But at this point, anyone could have been the one to face Lucille.

With his barbed-wire baseball bat in hand, I'm sure Negan will break our hearts as well as the Alexandria survivors' heads. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the future.

'The Walking Dead' will return to AMC in October.

Who do you think Negan killed in the season finale of 'The Walking Dead'?
