Fear not, walker fans, there's plenty more Walking Dead for you to enjoy.

AMC revealed today that Fear The Walking Dead has been renewed for a third season, barely a week after the second season premiered. The episode count is unknown at this time, but it is likely it will be around the same as Season 2 and clock in at 15 or so.

AMC president Charlie Collier released a statement saying:

"What [showrunner] Dave Erickson and [creator] Robert Kirkman have invented in Fear The Walking Dead is to be applauded. Watching Los Angeles crumble through the eyes of our characters and seeing each make decisions and try to figure out the rules of their new world — it’s fresh, eerie and compelling and we’re all in for the ride. As Victor Strand observed, ‘The only way to survive a mad world is to embrace the madness.’ We thank the millions of fans for embracing this mad world and look forward to sailing far into the future."

Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 will air the first half of its season through the spring, with the remainder to air later in 2016, presumably before The Walking Dead Season 7 begins in October.
