You might not be totally familiar with the landscape of Russian cinema at the moment, but the upcoming neo-noir superhero movie Guardians (Zashchitniki) might be worth checking out.

If the premise of a Cold War-era film about a group of Soviet superheroes doesn't already have you sold, maybe the promise of a super-buff man-bear will do the trick. Yes, you read that right. And yes, it looks as ridiculous (and awesome) as it sounds.

As absurd as some of these scenes might seem, there's no denying that the bulk of the trailer looks pretty great.

Cool weapons? Check.

Also, this ultra hip-looking team of superheroes:

Generally cool team aesthetic? Check.

And, of course, this man-bear!

Totally cool and ripped man-bear? CHECK!

'Guardians' will premiere in Russia on February 23, 2017.
