Not to be outdone by James Cameron's four Avatar sequels, at CinemaCon Keanu Reeves revealed that he might be gearing up for even more John Wick movies after the upcoming sequel John Wick: Chapter Two.
The actor told Collider:
"I love John Wick. We had an amazing time making this story. I can’t say that we’re not geeked about continuing the idea and the character. We have some really cool ideas. We talk about what would be cool to take it to the next level."
Even the next installment, which is still currently filming, took a lot of thought and convincing to do:
"For us, it was like why make it? We had to come up with a reason. ... And I think we found a reason. We found something that was connected to the first one."
The interview also touches on Reeves' viral target-practice video, his love of the John Wick character and how happy he is to be working with Laurence Fishburne again.
John Wick is, hands down, my favorite movie of the last decade and I'm ecstatic at the possibility of exploring this unique world many times over.
John Wick: Chapter Two is due in theaters February 10, 2017 and will find Reeves' retired assassin pulled back into action when a former associate attempts to take over an assassins' guild.
