There's no mistaking Zoom is a cunning and terrifying villain, the identity of which was closely hidden and much speculated on until his eventual unmasking in The Flash. But now his identity has been revealed, what can we expect in upcoming episodes?

Actor Teddy Sears, who up until now played the Jay Garrick, was revealed as Hunter Zolomon/Zoom, who was actually impersonating Garrick. Despite a contract on the contrary, it appears Sears was far from confident about being given the role of Zolomon.

In an interview with Comic Book, he spoke of his doubt as to whether the original plan would go ahead, despite being hired to eventual be revealed as the villain. He said:

"I actually probably convinced myself that, 'Oh, you know, they're gonna get another actor. They've changed their minds. I'm gonna be Jay for the run of the season, or maybe beyond.' Basically, I know I grew very attached and I so loved playing Jay and I was hoping to be able to do that for the duration."

The upcoming episode, "Versus Zoom", will give Sears the opportunity to fully flex his villainous muscle, having not featured openly as the character that often previously. He also confirmed the masked Zoom we see in the series was played by a stunt man, with Sears stepping in when the mask was removed. He added:

"We're going to see a lot more with his cowl down, but up to now, yeah, that's been a different guy. Same virtual height, same virtual weight, but a different guy."

More Zoom can only be a good thing! If you can't wait for the upcoming episode, which will premiere tomorrow, check out the preview below:
