In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Nick Fury said: ''The world adjusts, evolves to live with changes.'' In this same way, Marvel fans will have to handle seeing Captain America: Civil War without their beloved Nick Fury.

Samuel L. Jackson shared his thoughts with Fandango about when Nick Fury will make his reappearance after his near-death experience in Captain America: Winter Soldier:

"I think I'm in 'Avengers 3 & 4,' but I'm not in 'Civil War.'"

Honestly, despite all the cool stuff going down in Captain America: Civil War — including Spider-Man and Black Panther — I am mildly disappointed that Nick Fury won't be appearing. His last big blowout in Winter Soldier was some seriously intense action!

Sorry, Marvel fans, but this means that the earliest we'll see more of Nick Fury is 2018 in Avengers 3 a.k.a. Avengers: Infinity War I. Still, what he lacks in depth perception, he makes up for with a balanced yet impassioned view of the world: Nick Fury still believes in heroes.

Maybe it's with this in mind that Samuel L. Jackson responded ultra-diplomatically to Fandango's question as to whether Nick Fury had picked a side for Civil War:

"Ahhhh, I don't know. I haven't given it much thought. I'm Nick Fury — Nick Fury is above all that."

'Captain America: Civil War' hits May 6. Do you wish that Nick Fury was in it?
