Marvel has gotten some amazing talent both in front of and behind the camera. Yes, Marvel has tapped some of the most creative directors to make their super-movies. If your a Marvel fan, then I'm sure you'll be 'happy' to here that one of those amazing, talented directors is returning to help on Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2.
Drum roll please!
Jon Favreau just released The Jungle Book (which is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, SO MANY FEELS) which has done quite well box-office-wise.
However, it seems he's returning to the franchise he basically started back in 2008 with Iron Man. Since then, he's only gotten better and better, leading up to the cinematic experience that is The Jungle Book. Here's what Jon had to say to Digital Spy about his return to Marvel:
I'm going to be executive producing the Avengers films with the Russo brothers, which I'm very excited about. I talk to them about it all the time. I've worked both in front of and behind the camera with Marvel and I really love what they're doing right now. It's a really exciting time to be over there. I've seen a rough cut of Civil War and it's fantastic. We're constantly looking for things to do together. And now I'm freed up.
Jon's working with the Russo bros on Avengers 3 and 3.5 and I'm definitely excited! If anyone knows how to make Iron Man good in a movie, it's Jon. He did, after all, make Iron Man's first two films. Are you excited for Favreau's return to the MCU? Does this mean Happy's returning?!?! What do you think? Tell me in the comments!
