If 319 people jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? I know, I know -- it depends on how high the bridge was, right? Jumping off of a bridge is one thing, but letting people decide what movies you should love or hate -- that's just crazy! As of today, 319 critics have submitted their reviews for DC's [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) to Rotten Tomatoes.
The film sits at a humbling 28% on Rotten Tomatoes. More surprising than the low Tomatometer ranking is the glaring difference between the 69% Fresh score the fans submitted versus the rotten score submitted by the pros. Upon seeing Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, I air on the side of the audience and thought it was a "good" film. There's a thin line between "good" and "bad" so take that with a grain of salt. Here's what I thought of the film and how it compared to the heavy hitters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Obviously, I my rankings weren't popular decisions, but rest assure where there's an opinion on the internet, it's quickly followed by a disagreement. Although many agreed on some of my rankings, there were some hands raised on the others. The truth is, there is no right or wrong answer when you're listing opinions. Even when something is universally loved -- it still isn't.
A couple of things are for sure, some people like Batman v. Superman, some people hate it. The same thing goes for the Phase I and Phase II pictures in the MCU. As a movie buff, it's just entertaining to get a grip on who loves what more.
So here we go -- think hard (not that hard) and rank Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice against all the Marvel movies in the MCU. The Rotten Tomato scores are listed on the bottom, but do us all a big favor and think with your heart and not with the score.
