I stumbled across an interesting video on YouTube earlier today. YouTube user I Hate Everything put together a 16-minute take down of superhero movies. He makes many valid points, such as Marvel signing actors to large contracts which takes the stakes out of the films (We know Iron Man won't die, as he is in Infinity War). He also calls out the basic template the films use and that they do have very little creative or artistic merit. Also, superhero movies don't have staying power - Who rewatches Thor 2 or Iron Man 2?
DC is also attacked for its overly serious tone that is present throughout all of its movies. Do all DC movies need to be gritty? What about Flash and others?
