It's time to go West! Well, Western, that is. Sony and MGM are bringing back a story from cinematic history that has certainly stood the test of time: The Magnificent Seven.

As a legendary piece of Western filmmaking in its own right, The Magnificent Seven is a remake of the 1960 cowboy classic, which was in turn an American remake of the 1954 Japanese epic Seven Samurai. With Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) at the helm and an A-list cast, The Magnificent Seven might just be the Western crime movie we've been waiting for.

This updated version of The Magnificent Seven stars a bevy of familiar faces including Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

Check out our first official glimpse at Antoine Fuqua's The Magnificent Seven:

Here's a good look at the Seven: Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), and Billy Rocks (Lee Byung-hun).

Washington plays Sam Chisolm, "a bounty hunter, the leader of the Seven."

Pratt is taking on the role of Josh Farraday, "a gambler with a fondness for explosives."

'The Magnificent Seven' will hit theaters on September 23.
