Earlier today, Kensington Palace and Mark Hamill took to Twitter to show off some great pictures of Prince William and Prince Harry visiting the set of Star Wars Episode VIII. The royal brothers were photographed with cast and crew around various parts of the studio checking out sets, props, costumes, and even hugging a certain lovable walking carpet. As far as his interest in the galaxy far far away is concerned, Prince William admitted that he was a "total geek."

Pinewood Studios has served as an historic production facility for the Star Wars films since the late 70's. J.J. Abrams brought production back to Pinewood for The Force Awakens and Rian Johnson is continuing that legacy with the next film in the trilogy.

Check out more great pictures and video on kensington Palace's official Twitter and The Daily Mail.
