To those that don't know, Jon Favreau is the man who started the long run of the MCU when he first directed Iron Man back in 2008. He also directed the sequel, Iron Man 2, and though he decided to step aside and leave the directors chair for Shane Black's Iron Man 3, Favreau is finally back in the MCU and will be the executive producer for [The Avengers: Infinity War](tag:738027).
Jon Favreau recently directed the critically acclaimed, Jungle Book, as of right now making $314 billion worldwide. It has been well received by both critics and audiences just like the wide range of films he's directed, such as Made, Elf, the previously mentioned Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Chef. Favreau also has proven to be an exceptional actor in his roles as Mike Peters in Swingers, Boxer Rocky Marciano in Rocky Marciano, and Happy Hogan in the Iron Man trilogy.
He previously was the executive producer for Iron Man 3 and the first two Avengers films. In an interview with Digital Spy in April, Favreau stated, "I'm going to be executive producing the Avengers films with the Russo brothers, which I'm very excited about", he went on to say that he's seen a screening of [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), and he was very satisfied with the film's plot, action, and performances.
It seems like life is going well for Jon Favreau, and it's nice knowing that he's still doing business with Marvel and working in the cinematic universe that would be nothing without him. He's got a long way to go, but a joyous journey it will indeed be.
Marvel's The Avengers: Infinity War will arrive in theaters May 4th, 2018. Mark your calendars! It seems like a long ways away but time goes by fast!
