It's no surprise why more and more stars are signing up for superhero movies these days. Their box office numbers are almost guaranteed to be huge and they are really dominating the slate of movie releases yearly. In and unexpected move, it seems another big star might just be joining the superhero genre- Jeff Goldblum himself! If you're not familiar with the man I suggest you go watch Jurassic Park right now.

Jeff Goldblum, in a recent interview with MTV over Indepence Day: Resurgence, gave some subtle hints that he might be doing a superhero flick. When asked about the rumor, Jeff Goldblum had a very cryptic message...

"I can say very little right now, but you might be onto something. You might be."

It seems that Goldblum is keeping things under wraps for now and that raises a lot of questions. You can check out the full interview below for more on Goldblum talking about DC and Marvel.

If Goldblum is indeed in a superhero film, it makes me wonder exactly which property he'll feature in. I believe if he goes to either Marvel or DC, then he will make a great addition to them. The big question is whether Goldblum will play a superhero or a villain in whichever franchise he might be a part of in the future. As we saw in the sci=fi classic, The Fly, he's more than capable of being playing either the villain or the hero. If there is any truth to this rumor, we'll surely find out in the near future, and hopefully, know which movie exactly he might be in.

In the meantime we can only wait to see Goldblum back on the big screen in Independence Day: Resurgence. The film is a direct sequel to the Independence Day film from back in the '90s. Jeff Goldblum is set to reprise his role as David Levinson in Independence Day and it's good to see the Goldblum back.

Independence Day Resurgence Lands In Theaters June 24, 2016.
